Know at once when a backup fails
A backup fails at night. The email about it is lost among dozens of others, so no one sees it until a file has to be restored. Octotor reads your Veeam results every day and tells you in time, not on the day you need a restore.

What Octotor watches
An ordinary scheduled task reads your Veeam backup results every day. It only reads, and never changes anything in Veeam. Octotor alerts you when a backup:
- fails,
- ends with a warning,
- or is overdue, because it silently stopped running.
Where you see it
- On the Dashboard: each customer has a Backups tile. When it is red, the list below names the jobs that failed.
- Wherever you are: alerts reach you by email, Telegram, or a webhook into your chat or ticket system, such as Microsoft Teams. The alert stays open until someone deals with it.
- In the Alert Center: the alert counts the failed jobs on the backup server and names the job that failed.
- On the backup server: its Backup jobs tab shows what Veeam reported for each job, newest first, with the full job output one click away.
