Find forgotten and stale accounts
People leave, but their accounts stay. Service accounts are made for one job, then forgotten. Octotor makes them stand out, so you can deal with them before an old account becomes a security risk.

Nothing enters on its own
Octotor finds accounts and computers in many sources, such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or a firewall. Nothing it finds enters your inventory on its own: it waits in a review queue first. On the Assets page, Discovery opens the queue, with each account's state and when it was last active.
Every account has an owner
- Octotor links each account to someone it knows. If the match is missing or wrong, Set owner lets you pick the right person.
- On a person's page you see all their accounts together, for example Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and the firewall, and their assigned laptop.
Stale accounts stand out
Filter the queue by days without activity, for example more than 180. A disabled account last active ten months ago, or a service account still enabled but not used for seven months, shows up at once. For each account you decide: approve it into your inventory, or reject it, and Octotor remembers your choice.
Try it yourself
The live demo needs no account. A guided tour walks you through it step by step, on fictional data.
